Wooden boxes

How did the wooden boxes - also known as export boxes - come about? After the end of the second world war, more and more printen orders from Aacheners from abroad reached our bakery. What was missing was beautiful and suitable packaging to send the printen to people who did not want to do without their favorite product outside of Aachen. For example, Netty Nobis developed a wooden box for printing. Netty Nobis was the wife of Heinz Nobis, the grandson of the company founder Johannes Michael Nobis. Thanks to Netty Nobi's idea, printen have been shipped in wooden boxes since 1957. And so Netty Nobis also coined this old rhyme: This box, invented by us and imitated by so many, outwardly resembles all, but Nobis-Printen remain unmatched.
