We want everyone to be able to order from us – including people with a disability, people using assistive technology such as screen readers or magnification software, and people of any age. This page is our accessibility information under Section 14 of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG).

The service this covers
At shop.nobis-printen.de we sell Aachener Printen, baked goods, gift boxes and spirits to consumers. You can browse items, add them to the basket, order as a guest or with a customer account, choose a payment method and have your order delivered. The shop is available in German, English and French.
How an order works
- Find items via the menu, the search or the categories.
- Choose the quantity and select “Add to basket”.
- In the basket you can change quantities and add a greeting card, then go to “Checkout”.
- Enter your email address, order as a guest or sign in, and enter your billing and delivery address.
- Choose the shipping method, the payment method and, if you wish, a later delivery date.
- Check everything on the summary page and place your order. You will then receive a confirmation by email.
You can also do any of these steps by phone or email – see “If something does not work”.
How we meet the requirements
The benchmark is the German regulation accompanying the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV), which refers to the standard EN 301 549 and thus to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, level AA). Among other things, we have implemented the following:
- All images that carry information have alternative text; decorative images are marked as such.
- All input fields are labelled, and buttons and links have a meaningful name.
- Pages have a consistent heading structure without skipped levels and one main heading per page.
- Text and controls meet the required contrast values; font sizes are deliberately generous.
- The image carousel on the home page can be paused, stops on mouse hover and keyboard focus, and does not move at all if “reduce motion” is set in your operating system.
- Pages declare their language and can be zoomed.
- The order process can be operated with the keyboard, and the element currently selected is marked with a visible outline.
- The address form is marked up so that browsers and assistive technology can fill it in automatically.
- When an item is added to the basket, screen readers announce it.
What we are still working on
- Some parts are provided by service providers and are not designed by us: the cookie notice, the Trusted Shops review badge, the address check and the payment windows of PayPal and other payment providers. Their accessibility is the responsibility of the respective provider.
- Older PDF files, such as product sheets, are not yet consistently accessible.
